Valley Forge Patriots Volleyball Team Gears Up for a Promising Season
The Valley Forge Patriots volleyball team has kicked off the season with an 2-0 start under the leadership of head coach Cortney Bokoch, who is entering her second year as the varsity coach and third year with the program.
The Patriots have showcased a strong roster, led by key returning players. Senior Abbe Premo, renowned for her all-around abilities, Senior Kelsy Milner, whose ability at playing all positions in the front row, are pivotal to the team's performance, Senior Kara Barnett controlling the back row as libero with excellent plays and communication, while Junior Maira Saylor's skills as a setter and serving ace are expected to keep opponents on their toes. Additionally, Sophomore Lexi Samarin has been identified as a rising star hitter, further strengthening the team's offensive capabilities.
This season also sees promising new talent moving up from last year's JV squad, adding depth and potential to the varsity team. Notable newcomers include sophomore hitter Delaney Kercher and strong back row players Lily Fale and Brenna Hill. Moreover, Aaliviah Dotson returns as a middle hitter, boosting the team's defensive and offensive formation.
