On 1/29 and 1/30 Valley Forge Boys and Girls Swim Team wrapped up the regular season with a a pair of dual meets against Cuyahoga Heights and Padua. The boys claimed a victory against Cuyahoga Heights, while our smaller girl’s team was not able to overcome the depth of their team. The following night both teams secured the win in our senior night celebration over Padua.
On Saturday, 2/10, at Akron University, the Patriots ended the swim season with the Division I Sectional meet. Most of the team swim individual best times. On the girl’s side, both the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay finished 14th. On the boy’s side, the 200 Medley Relay finished 10th, while the 200 Free and 400 Free relays finished 11th. The team is young so we expect most to return next year. We will miss our 6 seniors: Nate Demarest, Jacob Liegl, Alec & Drew Porter, Anastas Raykov, and Jason Tober, and we wish them the best of luck with the rest of the school year and their future endeavors.
