After a week off from competition, the Valley Forge wrestlers enjoyed getting back on the mat this past Friday and Saturday at the Bill Dies Memorial tournament.  The tournament, held at Akron Firestone High School included a field of 31 teams from Northeast Ohio and the Akron area.

The Patriots competed with intensity and scrapped each round which allowed them to finish in 7th place as a team.  The kids are coming together and continue to work hard in the practice room each day. We are super proud of the kids for their performance.

The Patriots had one tournament champion in sophomore Nathan Hale, who finished 5-0 with 5 pins!  Congratulations Nathan!

You can catch the Valley Forge Boys and Girls wrestling teams in action this Thursday night as they take on crosstown rival Normandy. The match is at Valley Forge HS.  Girls will wrestle at 6pm, the boys will wrestle at 7pm.
