The girls wrestling team competed in the Lady Longhorn Holiday Tournament on December 27 – 28 at Lutheran West High School. With only five scorers, and two extras (non-scorers) the girls amassed 91 points finishing in 25th place out of 51 teams.

Leading the way was sophomore Hadeel Abuqbitta at 235. Hadeel went  4 -2 and took 5th place.  Hadeel is now 8 – 3 overall. At 190, Savannah Hindi upped her overall record to 7 – 5 and finished in 10th place. At 170, Joanna Torres added several wins to her overall record of 7 – 9 and took 8th place. At 125 Blessing Mbachu, now with a record of 7 – 6, finished in 10th place. At 120, Jade  Krzywkowski (5 – 9) took 12th place. The two extras were Savannah Yorko (5 – 6) at 190 and Zyaira Brashers (6 – 7) at 235, finished in 14th and 13th place respectively.

Overall, the wrestlers won 19 matches.  Great job Patriots!
