The Valley Forge Patriot Football team has had their hands full the first half of the season.  Their record currently stands at 1-4 but are hoping to finish strong down the stretch.  Their schedule has not been easy as their opponents have a combined record of 19-6.  They were able to secure their first win of the season week 3 vs. Garfield Hts with a 28-12 victory at Byers Field.  That win was highlighted by Ben Farson and Nick Mankins both scoring a rushing TD and finishing with nearly 100yds rushing each.  Dan Kiewel threw a TD to Mankins and Cam Wadsworth was able to punch in another rushing TD.  Mankins leads the Patriots with 3 total TDs while Kiewel has thrown for two and rushed for another.  The defense has been led by Evan Tappe with 30 tackles, Sean Frank with 26 tackles, and Dan Scheffler with 28 tackles.  The defensive line led by Gabe Uhle, Danny Grayson, and Elijah Wiggins have been doing their part by solidifying the line of scrimmage.  The Patriots will finish the year with home games against Lakewood, Normandy, Buckeye, and Holy Name.
