The Valley Forge boys wrestling team competed in the Euclid Division I Sectionals this past Saturday. The top 4 wrestlers in each weight class advance to the District tournament. The Patriots brought 13 wrestlers and advanced 7 to the North Canton District Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The boys wrestled with heart and intensity throughout the entire tournament.

 

The Patriots had five wrestlers place 4th including seniors Bobby Tupa and Danny Grayson, junior Alex Cruz, and freshmen Zamani Matsuo-Jamieson and Amir Abukhalil.

 

Senior Bryson Ziol placed 2nd, while Sophomore Nate Hale won a sectional championship!!! Nate’s Sectional championship was the first for a Valley Forge wrestler since 2015.

 

It’s an emotional roller coaster for everyone involved with our wrestling program… some individual seasons are continuing while some individual seasons came to an end.
